At Gary Blanchard Jewelers, we are committed to your complete satisfaction. We understand that purchasing fine jewelry is a significant decision, and we want to ensure you are completely happy with your purchase. Our return and exchange policy is designed to provide you with confidence and peace of mind.
Standard Return Policy
We accept returns on most in-stock items within 30 days of purchase, provided the item is in its original condition with all packaging and documentation included.
Eligible Items
- In-stock jewelry items (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets)
- Loose gemstones and diamonds
- Watches and accessories
- Gift cards (store credit only)
Return Conditions
- Item must be in original, unworn condition
- Original packaging, tags, and documentation must be included
- Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) is required
- Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase date
- Special orders and custom pieces are not eligible for return
Refund Process
- Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment
- Credit card refunds may take 5-7 business days to appear on your statement
- Cash refunds are limited to $100 for security reasons
- Personal checks require 10-14 business days to clear
- Shipping costs are non-refundable
Exchange Policy
Exchanges are welcome within 60 days of purchase. You may exchange your item for another item of equal or greater value.
Exchange Options
- Exchange for a different size (rings, bracelets)
- Exchange for a different style or design
- Exchange for an item of greater value (pay the difference)
- Exchange for an item of lesser value (store credit for difference)
Exchange Process
To exchange an item, please bring the item and proof of purchase to our showroom. Our staff will help you select a new item and process the exchange. If the new item costs more than your original purchase, you will pay the difference. If it costs less, you will receive store credit for the difference.
Custom Design & Special Orders
Custom-designed jewelry and special orders are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange. This includes:
- Custom engagement rings and wedding bands
- Personalized jewelry with engravings
- Special orders for specific gemstones or metals
- Items resized to your specifications
- Heirloom restoration or repair work
We encourage you to carefully consider your custom design choices and ask questions during the design process to ensure your complete satisfaction with the final piece.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
What Constitutes Damage or Defect
- Manufacturing defects in the setting or metal
- Chipped or cracked gemstones (not due to wear)
- Loose or missing stones
- Incorrect item shipped
- Significant deviation from product description
Reporting Damage
Please inspect your item upon receipt and contact us within 7 days if you discover any damage or defects. We may require photographs or the return of the item for inspection.
How to Return or Exchange
We make returns and exchanges simple and convenient:
In-Store Returns/Exchanges
- Bring the item and proof of purchase to our showroom
- Our staff will inspect the item and verify it meets return conditions
- We will process your refund or exchange immediately
Mail Returns
- Contact us at scoutbruce@blanchardjwl.com to initiate the return process
- We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label and instructions
- Securely package the item with all original materials
- Ship the item to us using the provided label
- We will process your refund within 5-7 business days of receipt
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange for health and safety reasons:
- Personalized or engraved items
- Custom-sized or resized jewelry
- Special orders and custom designs
- Items that show signs of wear or damage
- Items without original packaging or proof of purchase
- Items purchased more than 30 days ago (returns) or 60 days ago (exchanges)
- Final sale items (clearance, discounted items)
Gift Purchases
Gift recipients may return or exchange items with a gift receipt. Gift returns will be issued as store credit in the amount of the purchase price.
- Gift receipts do not show the purchase price
- Gift exchanges can be for any item up to the original purchase amount
- Store credit has no expiration date
- Gift items without gift receipts follow standard return policy
International Purchases
For international customers, please contact us directly to discuss return and exchange options. International returns may be subject to additional restrictions and fees.
